- To engage the learner in the design and implementation of opportunities for improvement at SECON.
- Develop open lines of communication with learners
- Promote the involvement of students leaders in decisions that directly affect all learners at SECON
- To enhance a caring environment for all College constituents.
- Promote a climate of open dialogue between students, faculty and staff
- To promote faculty scholarship and role satisfaction.
- Develop mechanisms for faculty to actively participate in maintaining faculty scholarship at SECON

- To demonstrate fiscal responsibility within a challenging economic environment.
- Ensure that faculty, staff and students needs are considered within the College's budget guidelines
- Maintain a strong scholarship base for SECON students
- To respond to ongoing changes in nursing education and health care.
- Promote education strategies and experiences that immerse students in the learning experiences at SECON
